The crew of the Sybil Curse has become stranded in Dragao Terra—a strange land inhabited by dragon shifters who are on the verge of destruction.

Janelle and Elijah have become separated from the others, so the crew splits up to find them. However, the danger they face will put their loyalties and their lives under a brutal strain that threatens to tear everything apart.

Meanwhile, Mazie, the First Mate, can see that the darkness within the elf, Aiden, is growing stronger. He’s losing control over his mind, and it wouldn’t be long before he succumbs to the monster they all fear. But a new ally named Kaeli will provide desperately needed help to fight the evils that roam the land. As their plan unfolds, an unlikely connection will bloom between Mazie and the stranger that may be the key to bringing down the empire and saving her family.

The pirate crew must rally together to survive and unravel the power that binds them to Fate. They will also discover hidden truths that Dragao Terra may play a greater role in their own world than they realized.

My Thoughts

This is the third and final installment of The Zemiran Chronicles.

Out of all 3 books in the trilogy this was the most stunning.
I was tense the whole way through, mostly from the breathtaking events that transpired and the rest from knowing this was the last book!

This series is the first I read from Blade, and wow did it hit me how incredible her writing style is.

I managed to snag all three on BookSprout right before the archive dates.
Of course that meant I had to speed read, but as I came to find out, the story is so rich and full of amazing twists and turns that I didn’t have to push myself.. the moment I started book one, I was hooked.

Reading them fast was a joy rather than a chore, because I was now obsessed with the storyline.
I was unable to sleep until i’d finished each one.
Earning many glares from my husband as the light kept waking him. Oops.

I read all three close together, so there was no having to wait for conclusions or finding out what came next.
I have to mention that this is a chronological series, it must be read in order as there is continuity in each book.

Now, while I loved books one and two, this installment was phenomenal. By far my favourite book of the series.
The cliffhanger from book two King Elijah, quickly resumes its position.
We are thrust into another epic journey, but this time with dragons!!

I adore dragon fantasy, there’s something so enthralling in the ideation of these mythical creatures being among us mundane folk is exciting.
I mean we know dinosaurs were real, why can’t we believe in dragons too?

I absolutely loved the venture into the dragon world and the dragon shifters, even though they were major Alpha-holes.
The story was extra dark, twisty and delicious.

I loved every moment.

The plot here was different and much richer than the first two books and I found the new characters delightful.
Male, broody dragon shifters, who torture our heroes and then force a bond with one of them.
I really wanted the dragon shifters to be kinder, but something about them being so villainous was yum.
They went over the noncon and hit new levels of bad, and I still worship the story.

I’m honestly sat here emotional because I know this is the end, and I’m glad for the endings for all the characters journeys. I’m kind of lost now, what do i do with myself?

I’m typically uncomfortable with F/F smut, it’s just not my thing, but the inclusion of this element here was handled tactfully and written beautifully. It was a great LGBTQ rep.
I just want to note that I fully support the LGBTQ community and mean no disrespect with my POV.
I’m a fan of an M/M trope and my personal taste here doesn’t mean I hated that part of the story, far from it.

Infact, i’m a huge Kaizie fan.

The new relationship arcs were a great addition to an already fantastic journey. ❤️
Even though we have lost and gained many characters along the way, they will stay with me always.
As will the emotion and passion Blade has put into this series. It really was one hell of a journey, and I am devastated it’s come to a close.

I had all the feels.

I don’t recommend for younger fantasy readers, but as an adult fantasy, it ticked all my boxes and then some.

Enjoy this one my smutty sisters.
You won’t regret it.
